More than 100 older residents were vaccinated against the novel coronavirus Wednesday, Feb. 24, by one of San Bernardino County’s two mobile vaccination vans.

The van was scheduled to give the first dose of the vaccine to between 100 and 150 people over age 65 at the Fifth Street Senior Center in San Bernardino, county spokesman David Wert said.

County officials plan to send the van to locations in each of the county’s five supervisorial districts, focusing mostly on more remote areas. Planned sites include Chino Hills, Colton, Lucerne Valley, Twentynine Palms, Rancho Cucamonga, Chino, Hesperia, Montclair, Trona and Needles, according to a county newsletter.
